He urges them to use upcoming landmark moments to accelerate action and adopt comprehensive, evidence-based approaches that encompass legal, policy, and institutional measures to combat systemic racism. This should be done in collaboration with meaningful participation from people of African descent.
Additionally, the report includes a guidance note that addresses the specific challenges faced by people of African descent in non-electoral contexts. It encourages State action to develop tailored responses and ensure their right to participate through an intersectional approach.
